First night in Paris and Internet challenges

(Yvonne)
Ahhhhhhh Paris! Oui! We arrived, got our bags and met our driver (you know, the one with the little cap and the sign that said "Townsend". Just loved that part.) Got to our hotel and immediately threw our crap in the room and headed out the door. Our hotel is located next to the Pantheon and just a short walk to Luxembourg Gardens. Just beautiful! A little chilly here, glad I brought a warm jacket and threw some pants in last minute.
Took an afternoon nap after roaming around (we're old) to get ready for an evening out. Had a lovely cruise up and down the Seine and saw all of the monuments lit up. The got a tour by van to see the Arc de Triumph and Notre Dame up close. By then it was almost 11 PM here.
You'd think we would have had enough? Not hardly. We had our driver recommend a little bistro that played jazz music and served wonderful food (Brian had calf's liver, which was unbelievably tender and delicious and I had the Fromage (cheese plate) and a lovely glass of Bordeaux. It was a classic French bistro, complete with piano player and singer singing Edith Pilaf and Cole Porter classics. We also had our Ratatouille moment when we looked out the window and saw 3-4 rats wandering around by the row of motorcycles parked across the street. No one walking outside seemed to notice or care. When we got back to the hotel, the concierge just laughed when we told him and said, "well, eet iz Paris, oui?
Connection problems to the internet- we finally got connected, but not all the way. We are figuring it out as we go. Posting pictures is the next challenge. You'll know when we figure it out- we have a ton of pictures to post. For now, off to the Louvre!
